Four generations of experience in diamonds and diamond windows
for lasers and diamond windows for ATR accessories have led
to our current know-how. Started as a gem diamond polishing company,
Almax diversified in the seventies into industrial diamond applications.
Stimulated by our customers, our efforts were oriented more and
more towards optical applications of natural diamonds. We supply
diamond anvils to high-pressure research groups and original equipment
manufacturers of (accessories for) spectrometers. Convinced by the
benefits of the new diamond material of the future, we started working
with C.V.D. diamond in the nineties. The applications of C.V.D.
diamond are numerous. Almax sticks to those applications which have
an optical dimension. |

Almax Industries is located near Antwerp, the world diamond trading
centre. This gives us access to an enormous market of rough natural
diamonds. We evaluate diamond windows according to several selection
criteria. Tell us the purity, colour, fluorescence, birefringence
or type of diamond you want, and we will supply you the right diamond
for your application (for ATR accessories and lasers ). We also
collaborate with several research and development labs around the
world for synthetic diamond ( anvils). Whether they manufacture
polycrystalline diamond through hotpressing or C.V.D.-techniques,
or whether they grow monocrystalline diamond, they all have one
thing in common: man-made diamond. It depends very much upon your
application whether we can advise you to use one of these synthetic
alternatives for natural diamond. |

With our state-of-the-art machinery in combination with the craftsmanship
of our polishers, we are capable of manufacturing high quality diamond
anvils , windows and cells. With three-dimensional lasercutting
and automatic polishing technology, we prepare diamond anvils and
windows for the final finishing step , ATR accessories and lasers
. This finishing step provides us the optical surface quality of
the diamond. Control and in-process measuring make sure that we
reach the most demanding dimensional tolerances. If you require
